On Friday, May 24th, 2024 forty-seven Bull Dogs – or friends and family of Bull Dogs – teed off at the Columbus Par 3 golf course in the very first Bull Dog Alumni Golf Outing. We hope that this will become an annual opportunity to share time with family and friends, play some golf, and raise a little money for Alumni Association programs that aid students and teachers at Columbus North.
The weather for the outing was picture perfect. While most groups were there to enjoy the weather, the camaraderie, and, perhaps, the beer or soft drinks, several groups displayed amazing golf talent. The winning group (featuring two ringers who played on State Finalist Bull Dog golf teams) carded 18 birdies for a score of 36 (yes, they utilized the “birdie package” yard of string for a few of those birdies).
Golfers ranged in age from 1st graders to 80-year-olds – and represented Bull Dog graduating classes from 1956 to 2035 (future Bull Dog). Disappointingly, only one female golfer participated (C’mon Bull Dog Ladies!).
A hearty lunch was offered by the Party Chef food truck and on-course refreshments were provided by Bartholomew County Beverage and Hog Molly Brewery. Three generous donors: Edward Jones Investments, Peter King 
Law PSC, and Barkes, Weaver, & Glick Funeral Home & Crematory served as Event Sponsors.
